Gaze not at the stars, those fleeting diamonds hung so high like a carrot before our noses. The notion of the stars offers only limitations to the gears of our momentum and progress in this nebulous existence. Look instead at the darkness, the murky spaces in between. It is in the desolation occupying this vacuum of time and space where our spirits' most opportune moments await, offering boundless and immeasurable distances in which our minds, our hearts, our imaginations can travel. Stars merely measure a distance of two points, as mundane as a Metro ride in Manhattan. The light they cast, though wondrous and impossibly bold as it braves through the void and the frigid vastness, is merely bound to the unbending laws that govern its flight. No, it is in the void where dreams are born, where you can stare at the guise of uncertainty and feel for once in existence that there is no doctrine that governs our fate, no finality to the strength of our purpose. Since the spark of thought was first ignited, it has been an obsession to harness and measure what is ultimately not ours to control, the essence of a dimension that envelops and moves us all. But in these dark cracks of the cosmos, the spaces between those definitive diamonds so distantly fixed, we for once find our hands unchained and our faces open to the freedom of infinity.
